When Our Whys Causes Us T o Wonder

            In the book of Judges a fellow by the name of Gideon had some questions he asked point blank to a messenger of the Lord.  His current situation led him to believe that God had not shown up.  He had a deep sense of abandonment.  He asked, “If the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?  Where are all his wonders our fathers told us about?” Judges 6:13.  I would suggest that Gideon had a faith in God but at this point in his life maybe it was a troubled faith.  But we can be encouraged knowing that a troubled faith at this juncture in our lives is better than no faith.
