The Words Written in Red

             I have thought about the message we now have from God.  That message is as old as the world itself.  The message is a message that we are in need of help and there is no way out of the predicament that we are in unless we have help from an outside source.

            As one studies the origin of the Bible one soon discovers the vastness of the works that were written in ancient times and the daunting task if was for our forefathers to come up with a collection of the books that they believed were inspired by God.  It was no easy job for sure.  We could spend hours and days talking about the historicity of the Bible and what is called its canonical features.  Canon meaning a measuring rod.

            But it is the words of God that I find so inspiring and interesting to me.  We have what has been passed down from generation to generation.  The Bible, we believe is THE word of the most Holy God.  We believe to be Gods word to mankind.  We believe it to be the very breath of God.  II Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God (God-breathed) and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
