A Spirit of Thanksgiving

Psalms 50:14-15

For us we must pause to remember those who endured hardship, who endured starvation and disease so that you and I could be here today worshiping as our consciences dictates.  The Bible talks about offering  a sacrifice of Thanksgiving .  Psalms 50:14-15 says, “Sacrifice thank offerings to God, fulfill your vows to the Most High, and call upon me in the day of trouble ; I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”  By offering thank offerings a person is offering a visible response to their dependence on God,   giving evidence of their dependence on him and is encouraged to pray in time of need.

            “He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.”  Psalms 50:23   By offering thank offerings we honor God and prepares the way for our hearts and minds to receive the gift of salvation.  How can we offer thank offerings today?  How can we be effective in doing that which God asks of his people?  By developing a true spirit of thanksgiving.
