Ostrich Christianity Matthew 25:14-46
Our passage this morning is a fairly lengthy one that holds many marvelous treasures. My hope this morning is to wade through this section of parables to learn our mission, our motivation and our majesty. As we begin, I just want to say what a Master Teacher Jesus Christ was during his time here on Earth. We have a parable before us that most of us have heard preached sometime during a church’s stewardship emphasis. Hey! I have preached from this passage during stewardship time as well! But now woven throughout this passage is something I have never really considered before this week. Let’s look at it….Matthew 25:14-15. Here we have our mission. The context of this entire passage is Jesus’ effort to communicated what the kingdom of heaven is like. Verse 1. Then in verse 13 he encourages the listener to watch for the bridegroom of heaven because he will come at a day and an hour when no one expects it.
