In The Last Time A Last Encouragement

The occasion of the writing of Jude may be found in verse 3, “Contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.”  Jude was quite concerned about nominal Christians.  He felt they were a threat to the core of the fellowship of believers.  He felt they were threatening to under mine and destroy the church by their immoral character and conduct.

               Following a long stretch of condemnation of evil men…a ray of light breaks forth in verse 17, “But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.”  My friends if we don’t remember what we have studied and hear taught and preached, we’re in trouble!  Why is that?  Because we can be led astray.
