Here Comes a Miracle

What a wonderful time of the year is Mother’s Day.  We take time out to honor those who have given birth to each and every one of us.  Some have the opportunity to be in the company of their mother today or to speak with her by phone while others reflect on the memory of their mother who has gone on to be with the Lord.

Motherhood is a miracle of God.  He so made us in order to reflect the miracle of his creation.  God said in Genesis 1:26, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”  We are the express image of god.  Whether or not we look like him is a matter of question because God testifies to the fact that he is Spirit.  It has been suggested that we are in his likeness in terms of our eternal character, our consciousness, the ability of rational thought and our personal choice.

This morning I would like to look at three areas of miracles.  Miracles that have an impact upon us everyday of the year.  Miracles that we often take for granted.
