Doing Missions at Home

Isaiah 6:4-9

             Good morning!  Could anyone tell me what a missionary looks like?  Any special characteristics?  Any uniforms or personality traits?  What about the places in which they live?  The clothes they wear?  Please describe a missionary for me within these parameters.

            Well, believer it or not, many people have this stereotype of what a missionary is in their minds that really isn’t true.  (Have a few people stand).  You know, missionaries come from all walks of life, all types of backgrounds and all kinds of ethnic backgrounds.  God’s people are made up of all types of people.

            We are going to look at the word of God today and learn about missionaries.  In the book of Isaiah we come across a passage that really communicates the heart of what a missionary is in reality.  Read with me Isaiah 6:4-9.
