A Passion For Sharing The Good News:Weeping

The key words are tears and weeping.  Those words were never more dear to me and fresh on my mind than when, as a junior in high school, I rededicated my life to Christ.  It was then that the Lord began to give me a burning desire to share the good news of salvation to my friends and those with whom I came into contact.  I immediately began to share my personal story and studied the Scriptures in order to support the happenings.  I sensed that, deep inside, people really wanted to know that they, too, could know God personally and intimately.  I found myself each day spending more and more time talking to others about Christ, and then spending significant periods of time in prayer on their behalf.  I was going and weeping.  I became someone I had never been before – an emotional believer.  I had strong feelings and desired to see others, especially friends my age, come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.  It was not unusual for me to become emotional and weep from time to time over those with whom I spoke of Christ and His offer of eternal life.
