A Call to Obedience

             As Paul begins his letter to the Roman church, we discover the mission of the Apostle as he labors among the people.  “…..to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith.”  There we have it.  Not only was it Paul’s mission and the other apostles mission, but it now our mission as well.  Look at the next verse. “And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.” 

            Over the course of the last few weeks, we have looked at the grass roots of the Gospel.  During the holiday season, we discovered our basis for our belief system.  The last three weeks we have really looked long and hard at ourselves and what we are all about.  We have examined our heart and our will, just in the last two weeks.  Today we open up a subject that to many in the church is believed, but ignored.  And that my friends is obedience unto God in Christ.
